The Discovery Competition is a concerto competition open to Children's Orchestra Society orchestra members in good citizenship standing who have fulfilled at least one year of residency. The Discovery Competition consists of two age divisions: Junior (under age 15) and Senior (age 18 and under). There is no minimum age requirement. Candidates must be enrolled in a COS program with the instrument on which they are competing.

2011-2012 DISCOVERY COMPETITION DATES:

Application due - Saturday, September 10, 2011
Preliminary Round - Friday, September 30, 2011
Semi-Final Round - Friday, October 7, 2011
Final Round - Thursday, October 13, 2011

Discovery Recital - Friday, October 14, 2011 at 7 PM
