The Masterworks Concert Series, established a decade ago, is an annual faculty recital by the professionally trained music instructors of the Children's Orchestra Society (COS). The faculty, which is devoted to developing young talent, hunger to express themselves through their art. The Masterworks Concert is an opportunity to showcase the COS faculty while bringing lively music to the community.
The audience this year will be treated to familiar classics, such as:
Bach's Adagio for Bass & Piano
Beethoven's sextet for two Horns and String Quartet
Schumann Piano Quintet
...plus showpieces for guitar and marimba, to include Monti's Czardas and Rimsky Korsakov's Bumble Bee.
