COS Performs in front of 12,000 at the UCC Convention

Though not religiously or politically affiliated, COS was invited to perform at a national United Church of Christ convention (where Barack Obama was also present and one of the keynote speakers). COS gladly accepted the invitation to give our students the additional performance experience in front of a large audience. Over 30 of our students and alumni traveled to Hartford, CT with our staff and faculty to perform at this convention, where there were 12,000 people in the audience. The ensemble performed 6 short pieces, one of them featured Ben Cohen (the 2006-07 concertmaster who has been with COS since he was eight) as soloist. Follow the link above to watch a video clip of the first 3 pieces on the program.
